While You Were Asleep.....
	    by sanity-defined

Night was still, so was the smile on your face
I kept hold on to it, free from sleep’s embrace
Under dark sheet, night was pitch black but moon
only shone upon you
Like a dumb moth, mesmerized by the glaze I was
getting too close to
Wanted to caress you but feared of spoiling my sight
Like a silent watcher, I just kept admiring
God’s might//

Could feel your warm breath,
each time your bosoms rose and fall
Like those rising summer tides,
answering on moon’s every call
Those spilling red wines on every smile proved
to be intoxicate.
Aware of my senses just as a
dreamer knows that he is not awake
Black curls on your face, I bent over to sway ‘em
Just then I woke up realizing its dawn,
bloody 4 A.M//
I smiled on my frustration, all I could do,lay back, deep.. In my imagination, wonderin how it would’ve been when you were asleep!
